Welcome to Lynwood Cottage
Having spent many years using self catering holiday accommodation in the Lake District, we decided, in 2020, to buy our own house as we love the area so much. We hope that as you browse this website, you will discover why we are so passionate about holidays here and we look forward to welcoming you to Lynwood Cottage in Backbarrow in the Southern Lake District. We are 5 minutes drive from Southern end of Lake Windermere as well as 25 minutes from Hawkshead and Coniston village.
As the cottage sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms, it is eminently suitable for a family but equally, we, as a couple, use it frequently and find it works really well for just two people. The house is very well equipped for self catering (see ‘Details’ page and ‘Guests’ Comments’ page.)
Please note: we do not allow pets at Lynwood Cottage.

We are happy for you to book full weeks (starting on a Friday or a Monday) or short breaks (3 nights - Friday to Monday) or 4 nights (Monday to Friday) all year round except during the school summer holidays when only full weeks are available.
